Avery Ford

Avery Ford, 76, of Spotsylvania, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday evening, May 28, 2016.Mr. Ford was a U.S. Army veteran. He was born on February 11, 1940 to the late John Ford and Marcella Mullins Ford in Dickenson County, Va.He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jean Ford; his children, Brook, Tommy (Laurie), Sheila (Randy), Melissa (Perry), Carl (Ginny), Jessica (Mike), and Cory (Charity); 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four stepchildren; a brother, Tennil; niece Barbara Deel (Doug); uncle Buster Bowman; and special friend Brenda Crews.A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 2 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.Donations can be made to the Richmond Fisher House Foundation, 300 Arboretum Pl, Ste 660, Richmond, VA 23236.
