    To the Shepherd family,
My Dad, Ben Dye, worked with Guy mant years ago and we always enjoyed his visits to our house to go hunting with us. He was always a gentleman and a good friend. Later as he got older and was unable to hunt, we enjoyed seeing Guy when he would make his annual trip tp Stafford for some deer meat. May your parents rest in peace.

When Janet sent me the link for your parents’ obituaries, I was so saddened to learn of Guy’s passing, also. What a wonderful life they had together, and to know that they are together again for eternity is comforting. I know my Aunt Nellie is there to greet them! You are all in our thoughts.

We met the Shepheds when we decided to build a Deck House in Fairfax Station. After bids were in we selected the Shepherds, Guy, Jean & Terry. Guy and Jean impressed us initially as a hardworking honest couple, down to Earth and God Fearing. Terry came later with the actual building, and he lived up to his parents reputation. Even though we didn’t see the Shepards often after our we moved into our home, we always counted them among our Friends. I think the last time we saw them together was at a party of all our family and close friends when we celebrated our new home. It’s fitting they left us almost at the same time, they did everything together, they were partners for life! We consider ourselves fortunate to have known and to know such a wonderful Family! Guy and Jean were the couple who let me track sand all over their house, come to lunch in my bathing suit, chase fireflies in the back yard, and turn their basement upside-down with craft projects for summer after summer while I was growing up.

They always had a kind word, thought it was fabulous when I moved myself to Egypt (while warning me to take care), and retired to my favorite place on earth the same year I was born.

Rest in peace, Guy and Jean. You were loved and will be missed.

Guy and Jean were wonderful neighbors and are truly missed. Jean made the best Italian vegetable soup and we loved to watch her making her crafts in the screen room. Guy was my life saver when it came to making a project or repairing something in the trailer. He had a knack for fixing any broken item. Guy and Jean readily took care of our schnauzer when we were gone for an extended period and our dog was ha

Dear Terry, Kathy, Jeff, Lori & Stephanie,
What a lifetime of memories I have of all the wonderful times our families have shared — from Lorton to Fairview Beach. Guy & Jean were two VERY SPECIAL people whom we will truly miss. It is so nice to have friends that treat you like family — that is exactly how Guy & Jean made you feel. It is never easy to lose a parent, but to lose both so close is a difficult situation —- but may you all find strength in the love and memories you shared with them over the years and may it give you strength to overcome your sadness. One thing for sure, we now have two more angels to watch over us ! May the peace of God be with you all always.
