Jeanette Mason

Jeanette Curtis Mason, 71, of Spotsylvania County passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond.

Mrs. Mason was a member of Goshen Baptist Church and had retired from CVS Distribution Center. She was an avid NASCAR fan, especially Jeff Gordon, and a Dallas Cowboys fan. Mrs. Mason loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Jeffrey Mason, Valerie McGlynn and husband Brian and Jonathan Mason and wife Cindy; brother Daniel Curtis and wife Harriet; sister-in-laws Dorothy Skebo and Inez Jett; six grandchildren Chris, Samantha, Zach Mason, Dylan, Kelly and Sarah McGlynn; and two great grandchildren Caleb Diehl and Peyton Mason; dear friends Anne Hall, Phyllis Napier and Janice Cox; and special niece Tami Curtis

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27 at Goshen Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris, Zach, Dylan, David Curtis, J.W. Knight, James Chewning, Michael Skebo and Ethan Curtis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association, Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312; or to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
