Ruth Ann Jones Duncan, 77, of Fredericksburg passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Duncan attended Spotsylvania High School and James Monroe High School. She completed her GED after raising four children. She was retired from the Department of Agriculture. Mrs. Duncan was a member of Riverside Church of God. She had served as president of Women’s Mission at Arwood Church of God for 11 years. Mrs. Duncan held all offices for Parents without Partners.
Survivors include her son, Bryan F. Jones (Darlene) of Spotsylvania; daughters Pandora G. Burge (Bill) of Spotsylvania and Tammy L. Munsee (David); grandchildren Simonie Merritt (Nate), Hunter Jones, Carl Munsee, Collin Jones and Rachele Jones; and two great-grandchildren Lillie Merritt and Violet Merritt. She was preceded in death by Daniel E. Jones; husband Otis A. Duncan Sr.; daughter Karen M. Jones; and grandson Nate Munsee.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 13 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pandora, Tammy, Btyan and families, My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to you all as you go through the difficult loss of your Mother. I know you will treasure many wonderful memories and times with uour Mom. I so enjoyed spending hours with Ruth as we worked on family genealogy. So sorry I was unable to attend the funeral. i injured my knee and had an orthopedic appointment and x-rays this morning.

T all of Ruth's family at a time like this no words can relieve your pain the one thing we can take comfort in is when we are absent of body we are present with God, no wants no worries no pain no problems just peace and rest for evermore.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family. I know Ruth is in a place where she will not longer be sufferin and will know eternal happiness Ruth and I shared a lot of memories together as I know you all did too. Penny, Tammy,Bryan and all of your families, I know Ruth has gone to a place where there be no suffering and eternal happiness. I know you all will miss her but she is in a better place. I will have all the memories of Ruth as you will too. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
