Walter Earl Davis, 80, of Fredericksburg passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Mr. Davis was an active member of Salem Baptist Church. He retired from Martin and Gass, Inc. Mr. Davis was a model train enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, June E. Davis; three children Paula Satterfield (Robert Dessimoz), Walter Davis Jr. (Erin) and Betty Garza; six grandchildren Rachel Satterfield, Jaclyn Satterfield, John Garza, Caleb Garza, Brooke Davis and Jackson Davis.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 21 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lung Cancer Research Foundation 155 East 55th Street, Suite 6H, New York, NY 10022

I'm sorry to hear about Walter's passing last Monday. I still remember him as well as he's very cheerful volunteer for drive for our church groups like trip to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg and other trips. I'll miss him. My thoughts and prayers with June and his family through this loss. I'm not able to come to the service coming up this Sunday since I'm out of town.

I was so sorry to hear of Walter's passing. He was a gentle giant, helped me out so many times when I was in my 20's and I loved his sense of humor. He's going to be missed. My thoughts and prayers go to June and the family.
