Pamela Kaye Wood-Dundas



Pamela Kaye Wood-Dundas, 62, of Fredericksburg passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at her home.

Pam was born August 20, 1954, in Columbia, SC, the first of six children born to George Harold and Meta McManus Wood. Her family later moved to N.C. where Pam spent her youth. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Western Carolina University and started her 38-year writing career as a reporter for the Record & Landmark in Statesville, NC. She went on to write and produce news for radio stations in N.C. and in 1986 moved to the DC metro area where she worked for decades writing grant proposals for numerous organizations.

Pam committed her life to Christ in 1996, was baptized in 1998, and goes to glory without fear.

Pam was predeceased by her father, George Harold Wood; her beloved Aunt Marie McManus; niece Mary Aldridge Wood; and sister-in-law Jennifer Cress-Dundas.

Survivors include her husband of almost 25 years, Ralph W. Dundas; her mother, Meta McManus Wood of Lumberton, NC; sisters Patricia Wood (Ed Long) of Centreville; Anna Readling (Keith) of Cary, NC; Beverly Wood of Cary, N.C.; and brothers George Wood (Titian) of Clayton, NC; Ben Wood (Sallyann) of Garner, N.C.; and beloved nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15 at Berea Baptist Church. Interment will be private.
