Ronald Joseph Stevick



Ronald Joseph Stevick, 54, of Fredericksburg, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Stevick served in the Navy for over ten years. While in the Navy, he received numerous awards for his service including two Sea Service Deployment ribbons, a Naval Achievement medal, a National Defense Service medal, two Navy “E” ribbons, and a Second Good Conduct Award. Mr. Stevick was a past Governor of the Stafford Moose Lodge and a current member of the Fredericksburg Moose Lodge. He enjoyed doing small engine repairs and working on small projects and was proud to be called the “Norfolk MacGyver.” Mr. Stevick also enjoyed dancing and telling jokes.

Survivors include his children, Candis Butcher, Barbara Stevick, Trevor Stevick, and Ryan Stevick; his grandchildren, Brianna Butcher, Izik Shelly, Mackenzie Butcher, and Kolton “Pork Chop” Butcher; his separated spouse, Debi Stevick; and his siblings, Sherry Rowe, Judy Huffman (Danny), Dave Stevick, Mike Stevick, and Phil Stevick. Mr. Stevick was preceded in death by his parents, James and Janet Stevick and a brother-in-law, Tommy Rowe.

The family will receive friends from 6- to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 20 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
