Roland R. Sullivan



Roland Rudolph Sullivan, 89, of the White Oak area of Stafford County passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at Greenfield of Stafford.

Mr. Sullivan was a World War II U. S. Army veteran and also served during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 55 and the V. F. W. Post 3103. Mr. Sullivan was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was named deacon emeritus. He retired from Fredericksburg Hardware as plumbing department manager after more than 50 years of service.

Survivors include his son, Gary W. Sullivan (Kendra) of Stafford; grandsons Richard A. Sullivan (Vickie) of Fredericksburg, Daniel W. Sullivan of Charlotte, N.C. and Anthony B. “Tony” Sullivan of Charlotte, N.C. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara W. Sullivan.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 14 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Entombment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
