Celebrating the life of Jon Douglas Reed
Thank you for signing Jon Douglas Reed's Guestbook
Jon was a wonderful man. I always enjoyed having conversations with him that ranged from radio stories, to Abu Dhabi, to flying, to politics, to the Detroit Lions. He always had a unique insight, and great dry humor.
I will be forever indebted to him for making a special night possible with my daughters by arranging tickets for us to attend a Kenny Chesney concert. It was his way of thanking me for something that I had done for him that I considered to be a minor thing, and he responded in kind by creating a memory that my girls and I still talk about today.
Val, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Jon will be missed by me and many others in the community, and we were truly fortunate to have had him in our lives.

I was his little girl and still am at 43! Remember that he would always say how proud he was of me. All the time!! His hugs were always so infectious and genuine. He was the kind of person that would ALWAYS put your needs before his own. There was such a gentle, kind, warm, generous and quiet nature about him. I miss our little talks and just being there. I am the luckiest daughter to have such a wonderful father. I am truly blessed to say that this was the most special person I had in my life and so many wonderful memories that I will always treasure. I love you dad. To be honest, I have so many wonderful things to say about him that would take days to finish. I have them all locked away in my memory. He was my hero.
You held my hand when I was small
You caught me when I fell
You're the hero of my childhood
and my later years as well
and every time I think of you
My heart still fills with pride
Though I'll always miss you dad
I know you're by my side
In laughter and in sorrow
In sunshine and through rain
I know you're watching over me
Until we meet again
God Bless you Dad! I love you so much
