Criag Robert Johnson



Craig Robert Johnson, 68, of Stafford passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 while asleep at his home.

Craig was the husband of Evangeline R. Arce Johnson. They shared 34 wonderful years of marriage together.

Born May 5, 1949 in Springfield, Ohio to Douglas Crabtree and Betty Ruth Ricketts, and later adopted by Robert Johnson. Craig graduated from South High School in 1968, after graduation he joined the United States Navy. He made the rank of Master Chief, and later was selected to be an officer. He retired as a Lieutenant after 20 years, working on Joint Cruise Missiles as Deputy Progam Manager in Wahington D.C. After retiring from the Navy, Craig worked as an IT Progam Director for mulptiple companies in the Virginia and D.C. area. He was a prior member ofthe Boy Scouts of America and the Aquia Harbor Rescue Squad having served as Fire and Rescue Commissioner in the early 2000’s.

Craig enjoyed reading, writing, and sharing his stories of the Navy and past experiences. He was working on multiple books and a script before his passing. His son and daughter plan to continue his work for others to enjoy.

Craig is survived by his wife, Evangeline; son Aaron Johnson; daughter Candice Johnson; grandson Stephon (Rocky) Tewari; sisters Cathy Singer, Tisa Maisonet, Peggy McLemore and Robin Johnson; and step-brother Victor Ford.
