Col. James M. Brown



Col. James M. Brown, Jr. U. S. Army, Ret., 79, of Fredericksburg passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at HealthSouth Rehab Hospital of Fredericksburg.

Mr. Brown was a 1956 graduate of Annandale High School and received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1960.

Survivors include his wife, June; children Julie Jaeger (Doug) of Woodbridge and James “Jamie” Brown III and his, fiancée Kimberly Taylor of Springfield; grandchildren Joshua Brown, Victoria and Michael Jaeger; siblings William Brown, Jr. (Gladys) of Danville and Sandra Hall (Roy) of King George; and brother-in- law Curtis B. Spring of Rockville, Md.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 5 at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford.

A service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 6 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow 2 p.m. at Quantico National Cemetery.
