Tribute

Eileen Partsch McVicar, a beloved mother, devoted wife and loving grandmother peacefully passed away at home in Fredericksburg, Virginia, after her valiant fight with cancer. She was born to the late James and Lois Partsch on a farm in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She had three sisters, Deborah Pileski, Barbara Dundore, and Rebecca Schmidt (preceded in death). As a young lady, she enjoyed riding and breaking in horses and spent lots of time with her friends and family. A graduate from Conemaugh Valley High School.

After graduation, she moved to Washington DC and began a career at the Federal Bureau of Investigation and retired in 2018. During that time she met and married the love of her life, Bernard “Mac” McVicar.  They shared five children Jeffrey, Mark, David, Robin, and Courtney; nine grandchildren Rachael, Morgan, Trett, Magnuss, Landon, Trevin, Hailey, David Jr, and Tyler. Further blessed with two great-grandchildren Cameron and Chloe.

Eileen was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories and funny stories. Those who knew her adored her infectious laugh, kindness to others, and how she was a pillar to her family and friends. An extremely modest, classy lady that carried herself with grace. A devout Catholic and member of the St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and conversing with her sisters. She also had a knack for gardening, enjoyed the outdoors, and took a favorable interest in politics.
