Kevin Michael Tscherch, 48, of Stafford passed away Monday, November 6, 2017.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 18 years, Michelle; two sons Jacob and David; mother, Eleanore and step-father Craig Young; sister Gayle and brother-in-law Alton Mosley; father-in-law and mother-in-law Douglas and Patricia Evans; brother-in-law Ryan Evans; seven nieces and nephews; and numerous other family and friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Thomas A. Tscherch.
Kevin was born in Middleton, Rhode Island and was raised in Brunswick, Georgia. After graduating from Brunswick High School, Kevin enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He rose up through the ranks to Gunnery Sergeant at which time he was selected for the Marine Corps Warrant Officer Program. Subsequently, he was then selected as a limited duty officer and continued to move through the ranks where he received his final promotion to Lieutenant Colonel.
During his military career, Kevin’s deployments included three tours to Iraq. While serving active duty he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in technical management graduating summa cum laude.
Of his many achievements, his greatest source of pride was his family. He loved to spend time together, walking through quiet woods with the family’s dogs running ahead. Kevin enjoyed walking on the beach, collecting shark teeth and baseball. He loved boating, fishing, kayaking and was an avid runner.
Kevin was always up for a game of basketball with his boys. When they were younger he always found time to not only attend but also coach their t-ball teams. He teasingly would wake his sons in the morning with a loud long trombone rendition of reveille. In addition to sports and the outdoors, Kevin also thoroughly loved a lively debate.
Kevin’s love for his family, dedication and determination will forever be remembered and we treasure our memories. We were blessed to have him.
A private service with full military honors will be held at a later date.

Celebrating the life of Kevin Michael Tscherch
Thank you for signing Kevin Michael Tscherch's Guestbook
Kevin is married to my niece, Michelle. Everyone in our family was impressed with him and liked his easy way the first time we met him. Kevin and Michelle made a dynamic couple and have raised two amazing sons. The four of them were a tight little group who loved to spend time together on family weekends and adventures. Kevin was totally devoted to his wife and sons and was a faithful husband and loving father. He was the epitome of the good family man.
Kevin was just an all-round great guy. He was selfless, funny, always helpful, honest, extremely hard-working, always kind. Knowing him enhanced all our lives. We all mourn his loss and pray for God's grace for his devoted family, his beloved Michelle and the sons who loved and respected him so much. We all love you, Kevin, and we will always remember you and how well you lived your life.
