Jasmine Jean Harvey, 23, of Spotsylvania County, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 at her home.
Jasmine was a 2012 graduate of Lee High School in Springfield, VA. She was very involved in art and music. Jasmine loved to laugh, take care of animals and always had her unique styles to share. She loved to give of herself in the service of others even if just to listen and smile.
Survivors include her parents, Jay Harvey and Latoynia Ransom-Harvey; siblings Michael Harvey and James Harvey; maternal grandparents, Bruce Jr. and Ethel Ransom; special aunt Dorothy Williams; nephew Michael Harvey Jr.; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jasmine was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Lois “Jean” and George Harvey and paternal great-grandparents, James and Melvena Thompson.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 7 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

Hello. I am so sorry for your loss of your daughter Jasmine . I lost my baby boy Kevin, at 3 1/2 years old in 1998. My heart breaks for you. I am also The Compassionate Friends Fredericksburg Chapter Leader which is a self help support group for all bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents who have lost a child. Latonya I am so sorry for your loss, Jazzy brightened the area every time she smiled. I only was around her a couple of times, but she always inspired all those she came in contact with. She will be missed as tou well know
