My husband Norm and I would like to express our deepest condolences to Shirley’s family. Shirley was one of the sweetest, kindest people I have ever met. She loved everyone and had a hug for everyone always. Besides knowing her through Ferry Farm Baptist Church, Shirley also subbed in our Bridge Club. It was always a treat when she was there. We can all aspire to have the attitude about life and joy from within that Shirley had. What a witness for Christ she was... Her smile could light up the room. I bet she is singing with the angels right now. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten... Linda M. Young

Mike, Steve and family. Very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a terrific lady and friend. She always had a smile and encouraging words for me, from a youngster through adulthood. She is now reunited with your Dad, whom I also had great respect, enjoying the fruits of heaven. May God Bless all of you at this time.

I was so sad to hear about your mother. She was such a sweet lady. I grew up with Steve in Ferry Farms and got to sing with his mom in adult choir at Ferry Farms Church. I took my daughter to her house one year for Halloween , she was so glad to see me and my daughter and we got to catch up on old times. She will be missed very much and she loved her 2 sons so much. My thoughts are with you both Steve and. Mike

I’m so sorry for your recent loss. My deepest condolences to your family. Death of a loved one is always hard to endure, but you don’t have to go through it alone. You can always find comfort in our God of tender mercy Jehovah, as found at 2 Corinthians 1:3,4.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad and difficult time. We feel as if we have lost a treasured member of our own family. Shirley was a very sweet and loving lady. She had the most beautiful personality, and her love for life, family, friends and God was inspiring to all who knew her.
We only came to know Shirley about eleven years ago when she and my late father, Wilmer Sullivan, rekindled a friendship that had begun over sixty years earlier. They were great together. They got out and went to movies, dinners, parades, fireworks, political rallies, concerts, short day trips, etc. In other words, despite their age and their illnesses...they lived their lives fully until the end. They were an inspiration.
We spoke to Shirley for the last time at Christmas...we will miss her dearly. She was an amazing lady and we were very blessed to have her in our lives.
God Bless You All!
