Juanita "Wanda" Baggett

Wanda Baggett, 75, of Spotsylvania County, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Mary Washington Hospital.

Wanda was a native of Clintwood and a former resident of Stafford County and Abingdon. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was grounded in her faith in the Lord and enjoyed caring for all those around her. Wanda had a gift for gardening, cooking, and sewing, and most of all, a genuine love for all those she came in contact with. We are joyous that she will be with the Lord and at peace watching over all of us until we are united together again.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, James Baggett; two daughters, Janet Barham (Robert) and Chrissy Blankenship; four grandchildren, Tyler and Mackenzie Barham and Colin and Ryan Blankenship; her mother, Alice Johnson; siblings, Hansel Johnson, Palmer Johnson, Ouida Liming, Buretta Hawbaker, Gobel Johnson, Eunice Booher, and Vonn Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Baggett was preceded in death by her father, Ersel Johnson and sister Anita Smith.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 17 at Salem Baptist Church, Milford. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
