Marsha L. Scott, 64, of Fredericksburg went to her heavenly home on August 5, 2018.
Mrs. Scott had a smile and a laugh that could fill a room, a heart of gold with a gentle touch and was always a strong shoulder to lean on. She enriched the lives of all whom she met and often became a second mother to those that loved her. Mrs. Scott was fun, outgoing and always willing to find a new adventure. She had a special place in her heart for dogs, enjoyed the beach, loved crab picking parties and most of all enjoyed time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her mother, Jean Lee; children Emily Hoiska (Chris) and Jacob Scott; spouse Rob Dobson; step-daughters Kellie and Katie Dobson; nine grandchildren, Kendall and Caleb Hoiska, Adalyn, Michael and Tristan Scott, Johnnie and Taylor Mortensen, Kayden and Raelynn Alexander whom she loved so dearly; brothers Mike Lee (Judy), Dan Lee (Theresa) and Chris Lee; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Clinton S. Lee and former spouse, Michael S. Scott.
The family wishes to express their appreciation for the many kindnesses she received from friends, family and church members. A special thanks goes to longtime friend, Marticia Doyle, for her tireless and loving support.
A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Jacob, It has been a very long time since I have seen you. You and our son Rob were good friends in school. You guys spent alot of time together and even went on family trips together. I still remember your dad and thought the world of him as well. My thoughts and prayers to you and the rest of your family!

I am so sorry to hear you passed Marsha. I worked along side of you while I worked at the Rappahanock Eye Center. I could not gather you passing so soon in your short life. Rest In Peace and you were such a wonderful person.
