Henry W. Cropp, Jr.



Henry W. Cropp, Jr., 76, of Fredericksburg passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Mary Washington Hospital.

Henry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. He was an avid athlete in his younger years, and he never missed any sporting events of his children. Henry was a graduate of Ferrum College and served in the Virginia National Guard. He was a professional Certified Land Surveyor and owned his own surveying business for more than 40 years. Henry worked hard his entire life for his family and was honest and trustworthy in all his dealings. He was a dedicated member of and an Elder in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and found joy in serving the Lord. Henry’s greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Janet Johnson Cropp; sons Jeffrey Cropp (Tiffany) and Jeremy Cropp; daughter Amy Andrejewski (Dennis); grandchildren Brennan Cropp, Emmy Andrejewski and Finn Cropp; sister Rosemary Dodd; sister-in-law Joyce Stewart; brother-in-law Carl Johnson (Barbara); and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ellen Mullen Cropp and Henry W. Cropp, Sr., and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 9 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 10 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 20 Boscobel Road. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Cropp, Jeremy Cropp, Brennan Cropp, Dennis Andrejewski, Chris Dodd, Craig Dodd, Mark Cropp, and Victor Stewart.
