    Dear Sharon and family~
I am so sorry Tommy has left his physical body but am certain he will be clothed in rich robes around the Master’s throne. My brother-in-law raced on the Strip with Tommy many times and my son grew up in school with some of your children. Of course, I knew your father WELL. You have my sincere sympathy as you move into acceptance in the months ahead. God bless you and all your children!

Tommy Jacobs was one of a kind. He could make a high performance engine sing a song the way only a very few ever could. An absolute icon of the drag racing world. I had known him for over 40 years. Back in the day when my father was deeply involved with drag racing, Tommy Jacobs was always the one you had to beat and everyone knew it. Those days were the beginning of his legend as a racer. He was also not one to be bashful. He would tell you exactly what he thought about you in a heartbeat. I appreciated the high degree of honesty that went along with that trait. Sadly, It is something not seen very much in this world anymore. To his family and many friends I offer my most sincere sympathy. To lose an icon is never easy. To lose one such as Tommy “ET” Jacobs is devastating.
