It was an absolute pleasure to meet some of the family gathering the uniform for the funeral. May he proudly enter the pearly gates and greet all his fallen comrades in full dress blues. The honor to be a part of such a special, yet sad day brought tear to all of our eyes. We wish you all the best.

My memories of my “Uncle Sonny” will always be memories of his bright smile, sense of humor and warm heart. A very special man who we were always so very proud of - our Uncle, The Marine. May he rest in peace and may God grant strength to Aunt Mae, Twana, Sherry, Kim, Pam, Lee and the rest of his family (all of whom he cherished) during this difficult time. Aunt Mae thank you for all the joy and love you brought to his life. Sending my love from San Diego ~Mel

Although we will miss you greatly here, it has warmed our hearts and comforted our distress to know you are where your heart desired most...to be in the glorious presence of our Savior. It will be my absolute pleasure to share with the world your journey and the dedication you applied not just to the service of your country but the dedication you showed in your walk of faith into the arms of our loving Lord and Savior.

We will miss our friend and neighbor Felipe and will be here for Mae when ever she may need us. We have lived across the street from them since 1998 and will miss Filipe (Fill) and his warm smile and genuine friendship as our neighbor. He watched out for us and our home and several times has called us at work to inform us of what was going on with our home or in our neighborhood. Thank you Filipe for your service and the difference you made while doing so, as you have made in our lives. God bless you Mae and all our love is with you and are truly sad for your loss of you Husband and best friend.
